A trip to Izu,Shizuoka

I went to Izu, Shizuoka on Sunday to Monday(29th to 30th) with my friends. It was the first time that I went a trip to Izu, so I felt excited. We arrived at hotel in the afternoon on Sunday, we soon went to pick strawberrys. Because it was very hot and I didn't like strawberrys very much, I just ate about less ten strawberrys. (Don't ask why I went to there!) After we went back to hotel, we took a hotspring which was purpose of this trip. Yes, it was comfortable and I felt I was cleaned by myself. Then, we had a special, gorgeous, beautiful dinner. My main dish was crabs. One of my friend's was abalone, and another friend's waslobster. All of them looked great, and we enjoyed our dinner. Unfortunatly for me, however, I am a small eater, I couldn't eat them all. Sythetically, it was great. After dinner, we played "WATER WORKING", the card game. We had a fun time. It's nice to have time with friends!

Next day, we woke up at 6:30 and we had an appreciation of final hotspring. The contrast between the tempaerature and water tempetature in hotspring in the morning was really nice. I had a very good time.

We checked out bit earlier and went to ride a ropeway which go to the top of the mountain. What did I see on the top?-Mt.Fuji!! I was the first time to see it. In front of Japan's largest mountain, Mt.Fuji, I was very excited. It was beautiful, magnificent and impressible!!! I'd like to climb up the huge thing!

This time was a very short trip, but I was so happy to go to. Plus, spending time
with friends through a day, it was nice to cultivate a friendship. Anyway, trip is fun. Tomorrow will be on school, didn't wanna come back...(laugh)

Jyuhyo

I'd like to tell you about jyuhyo, a snow monster. I went to see them Zao,Yamagata, my home town in this Spring holiday. Jyuhyo is one of Yamagata's symbol. Many tourists, including foreigners, ome to see. In fact, I lived in Yamagata for almost 17 years, but I had never seen jyuhyo. This was a reason why I wanted to see. Jyuhyo is a mass of ice and snow. The key of making jyuhyo is 'the monsoon'. The monsoon with moisture whip the trees, and moisture becomes ice. Then the tree with ice are deeply covered with snow. The condition of temperature to make jyuhyo is -5℃.

Back to my storys. I went to the top of the mountain by a lift. The altitude of top of the mountain is 1736 m. On the way I rode the lift, suddenly felt sick and can't move. "Oh gosh, I can't go on anymore. I have to give up?" But I didn't. "I have to see!" - When I went to the top and saw hundreds and fhousands jyuhyo in all around ways, I didn't feel sick anymore. "It's...just amazing! I have never seen such a beautiful sight! Can't believe!According to the reputation, the snow monsters are like monsters, and looked down at me with magnificant attitude.

What only one thing was regrettable was that because we have had a mild winter this year, there was little snow, so jyuhyo were bit smaller than last year. I always said, "Ah, I don't like snow! It's hard to go to school!" when I lived in Yamagata. But this time, "I wanna snow now!" (laugh) Well,I can't win the nature, there is nothing I can do. (sigh) Anyway, jyuhyo were still beautiful. I was happy that I didn't give up and could see strong, wonderful and beautiful jyuhyo.
